What made you want to become an educator? It all happened for me when I was an after school program leader at the Boys & Girls Club for some of the most phenomenal children I've had the honor to serve. It became my daily goal to give them a safe place, a place to belong. That's been my goal as an educator every day since. I became a teacher because I wanted every child to know they had an adult on their side, and they had a safe place where they belonged in our classroom.
Teaching is one of my favorite things. It's inspiring, creative, and makes an immeasurable difference in the world.
Teaching is one of my favorite things. It's inspiring, creative, and makes an immeasurable difference in the world.
Teaching is also tough.
As teachers, you and I share a true
understanding of the modern classroom struggle. Not only are you working to
change the world one child at a time, but you’re running from sunup to sundown,
and still feel behind. I completely get it. So take a deep breath (or a sip of your favorite wine) and hear
this.
I
know you are an amazing teacher.
You work when no one else sees you.
You take care of your students as if they were your kids.
You’re a passionate teacher who wants to make an unforgettable impact.

Teaching isn't without it's difficulties though.
Have you ever felt like…- there aren’t enough hours in the day?
- no matter how much time or how many personal sacrifices you make you can't keep up?
- it’s difficult to meet the diverse needs in your classroom on your own?
- so incredibly overwhelmed you burst into tears?
Me
too! I’ve been there, learned how to achieve more and stress less, and I
want to help you do the same! My name is
Shannon, the fourth grade teacher behind TeachingtoLove resources. It’s an honor
that you’re here, and I hope you make yourself at home. The first two years of
my teaching career were filled with exasperated tears, personal sacrifices, and
complete exhaustion all. the. time. I was running myself ragged and spending an
excessive amount of time (and money) trying to do it all. I was burnt out and needed a change.
Are you ready to make a change and…
- increase your impact without sacrificing your time?
- stress less and achieve more?
- have greater time & energy to support your students?
- build a classroom culture that supports kindness and compassion?
I help passion-driven upper
elementary teachers STRESS LESS AND ACHIEVE MORE by providing powerful
resources to maximize their time and build authentic classroom communities.
My passion is to give you more time and
energy to do what you love. Through TeachingtoLove you can find ready and low
prep resources that make lesson planning and prepping easy while focusing on
engaging topics that cover the wide array of academic and community building
skills.
There are few professions that have as many
hardworking, amazingly dedicated, and completely compassionate people as
teaching. It truly is a work of love. Thank you for all that you do each and
every day for your students.
Happy Teaching,
Shannon
